Each Hype Color lamp uses a third-party app called FairyNest to control color and brightness To get started, plug in the lamp and follow the instructions below.

1. Scan the QR code, or search for “FairyNest” on the Google Play or App Store, to download the FairyNest App. Open the App and Sign up.
   
   
2. Connect your phone or tablet to a 2.4G WiFi network (5.0G is not supported). Double check to make sure the controller and power are plugged in.
   
   
3. Click the “+” button to add the new SP501E controller and input your WiFi network password.
   
   
4. Follow the on-screen instructions for “Manual Mode” Please keep your phone, the WiFi router, and the controller closer together to maintain a better signal connection during configuration.
   
   
5. To connect to Google Home or Alexa, open the respective home app and look for “Fairy Nest” to link your new lamp

Note: Each lamp needs at least 2 amps of power to work properly. A 2.4ghz wifi connection is required to connect (as is the standard for all smart lights on the market today).
